Yeah, that's right I said it! Merry freaking Christmas, none of that no backbone, PC happy holidays crap. It's Christmas, haters be darned.
I hope everyone enjoys the company of family and friends this season, they are the greatest present you can receive.
I'm hosting Christmas dinner for my immediate family, my brother, sister, and a gaggle of kids. I'm honored and excited to warm my home with their love.
Peace be with you and yours. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Nerves on high alert.
It all starts when you get about 4 hours of sleep.
You walk into a haphazard environment of fear, dejection, anticipation and curiosity. The only thing that anyone is sure of is that nothing is sure. Your leaders have gone, theres no direction only speculation and promises.
They Say:
"Nothing will change"
"This is good news"
"We are prepared to grow"
You hear:
"Everything will change"
"This is really bad news"
"We are fucked"
So I get to play in purgatory for an undefined time till things fall out in the watch.
I may need one of these:
earlier than expected.
On a side note I'll be headed up to the big apple Jan 2nd - 4th. YAY.

Not a winning strategy, no. But I had a run of really bad cards just after the first 60 hands or so, so I decided to play as tight as I could. Made it to 14th place...with just a little adjustment against my normal fonkishness I may be on to something.

APBT II and weekend wrapup
Well, before I got too tipsy last night I promised Kat a somewhat coherent recap of the evening's events. I'm not sure if I can promise that now, but I'll give it a shot.
I'll set the table with my Friday night.
The wife and I were invited to wine club and we made it for the first time. I'm a closet wine snob so this was great for me. I spent 3 years as a wine steward at The Cloister in the early nineties.
We had a pacific northwest theme and I decided to focus on Willamette Valley. Oregon is Pinot country so I selected a Pinot Gris from King Estate (my families' vineyards wink wink)and Willlamette Valley Pinot Noir.
Of course I HAD to taste all 14 of the wines available and woke up Saturday morning with a massive wine hangover. LEMON
I was dragging ass, but I had a lot to do, so I cleaned up the basement and ran to the store. I also had to semi-entertain the kids cause the wife was writing a paper for her last final of the semester.
At about 5pm I called my buddy JewFro to help with the table, but his sister came into town early from Connecticut to dodge the horrible weather. Long story short, he could not come to the game OR help me get my table from the clubhouse. LEEEMMMOON
I proceeded to call everyone I know within a 10 mile radius and every single one of them was busy or not answering. Finally I got in touch with Todd and got him to come a little early to help carry my 1400 pound table.
Somehow upon getting the table into the van we ripped one of the legs out of the bottom of the table, however I was able to re-screw the leg back into the base.
Kajagugu, BrainMc, Surf, Sham and Gnome were at the house when we rolled up and got a good chuckle as Todd and I struggled with the table, but everyone pitched in with the chairs and getting the chips set up.
We chatted for a bit and waited on ChapelHill and if I remember correctly his uncle. I probably don't remember correctly as I could not remember his name, we decided to call him Buddy and he didn't mind at all.
I decided to go ahead and push the start back to 8:30 to let the our travelers make their way through the crappy weather and traffic. Eventually everyone had arrived and we ended up with 12.
Table 1 had Butch, Gnome, Doug ( a pokercats arena regular), ChapelHillnc, Buddy, and Kajagugu.
On table 2 we had Todd, Francase, Sham, Myself, Brain and George.
As you can see by the post yesterday I tried to design a structure to enable lots of play early on and added a rebuy to save for bad beats, such as the one ChapelHill had when his Aces were busted by threes.
All of the rebuy action was happening on table 1 with additional rebuys by Buddy and Kaja. The only rebuy on table 2 was Todd right near the end of the rebuy period. When I managed to dodge his straight and heart draws with a set of Kings.
All the other players made it through 3 levels and opted for the add-on. As I predicted, ChapelHill got Gigli when I believe his Queens were cracked shortly after the first break.
Kaja didn't make it much longer and we consolidated to one table. I've completely forgotten when and where we lost sham, but he was next out. Maybe it has something to do with the empty bottle of crown I have...
The final table had Brain in the 1 seat followed by buddy, todd, surf, gnome, francase, doug, dougs massive chip stack, me, and butch.
In the fifth round we lost 2 short stacks todd and francase with even more chips ending up in front of me....unfortunately doug had so many chips they were spilling over to me.
The double bubble lasted a long time while I slowly bled chips I could not get a single playable hand, the cards and chips were migrating to Doug and he was skillfully using both.
I got away from a big hand with george when I held AQ and completely missed the flop. he even showed me the Aces. I pushed with 45c and took the blinds and antes, then pushed again with 33 and got beat by surf's A6. Double bubble boy LEMON
Butch got the bubble and I joined the cash game. Here's the results:
A big congrats goes to Doug, I guess he is required to start a blog then.
More fun was had playing a cash game, Kaja stacked me then left, I took it out on gnome when I gambooled on a flush draw and hit. Sorry gnome, I really thought I was donating man. Everyone was good and tired and the group slowly disbanded, ending up around 2:30 or so.
I REALLY appreciate everyone who made it out. It was a horrible night to be driving, but I hope you all had a good time. I hope to see you again next year.
Here are some pics:
Cash table- Francase, Sham, ChapelHillnc, Todd, Buddy, Kajagugu and his finger.
Todd says: "Watch these get cracked."
Final 6: Butch, BrainMc, Surf, Gnome, Doug, Me.
The final hand: the Kuro is no goot vs the AsianJew.
Your winner: Doug. Showing off the final of his litany of aces.

APBT II Structure
Sorry I didn't get to it yesterday, I was real busy.
We will be having a $25 Tournament beginning with 2600 chips.
Players are allowed one re-buy for $25 for 2600 chips if they go below T500
Players are eligible for an add-on for $25 for 2600 chips after the third level if they did not re-buy.
Here's a screenshot of the rounds:
I can add more rounds after that if need be. I'm probably not going to make a huge amount of food like last year, but I will have some snacks and beer.
See you tonight!

Sometimes you suck, sometimes you blow.
I managed to do both last night.
I played very well for the first half of the chasers last night staying in the top 15 or so for a long time. I made a move in position against an unknown player. Unfortunately he couldn't lay down mid pair and I went through the roof.
I don't know who boof diggity is, but I was a complete tool to him and I feel really bad about it. So anyway, if you happen to read this boof, I apologize for being a dick. I made a move and it didn't work.
I should know better, I've earned my loose-agg image and deserve to be called by ATC.
So there ya go..I feel better now.
APBT II is tomorrow and I am super stoked. I'll post the structure up in a bit.

APBT II Roll Call
Five days to go!! Sure, it's no Vegas but I am stoked to have a great group coming to sling some cards in north bumblefuck ATL.
First up, my friendly local bloggers and friends who have officially confirmed for the game.
23skidoo
Duh, it's my house. I've refined my own version of selective donkery, you'll never see me coming! I will have some sort of bounty on myself, I just haven't come up with anything yet.
surflexus
Surf is supremely gifted and is once again my pick to win in hopes that my horrible luck slides his way.
kajagugu
If you crack his aces watch out for the size 12 Israeli combat boots to your gullet. You have been warned.
traumapoker
Big balla' is coming this time..hide your wallet!!
BrainMc
Brian is tired of beating the noobs in his neighborhood so he has to test his mettle against the best. Maybe he should go to Tunica??
Butch Howard
Quiet, methodical, and deadly. Butch only comes from the confines of his home to put a beat down on bloggers. If he bets, run RUN FAST!
Todd D
Ex-blogger and the smartest guy at the table....just ask him!
Out-of-towners
the surly poker gnome
Mark is coming in from halfway around the world, what's your excuse for missing this??
ChapelHillInc
Other-wise known as TripJax's brother. He's a solid player who is a regular at the MOOK. Obviously my vote for Gigli.
The following have said yes or maybe but have not sent in the blood signed parchment.
mowenumdown
I've decided that Kelly is a Ninja or works for the CIA. If he hands you a drink, kindly pass.
sham
Sham once showed me a video of him making love to my wife, and it was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. Sham can drink his weight in Jager Bombs. Sham's shit is currency in Argentina. One of these statements is true!
kurokitty
Coming back to the ATL after final tabling the WPBT winter gathering. Wonder where he will observe more donkeys?
weak_player
Aaron's been a little busy lately with a new family member. He is prepared to show everyone he is a force to be weary of.
tripjax
He survives on Goat-cheese and Oil of Olay. Keep him away from livestock and small children!
CC
Craig has yet to admit that he invented Webkinz, aimed at bankrupting middle class families everywhere. I saw a notebook on his desk entitled World Domination: Phase 1 Complete.
Francase
Francase is secretly stalking all ATL bloggers in hopes of collecting scalps. Keep your hat on!
transfish
Aaron's wife, she's cute as a button and quiet, she will lull you to sleep and go for the kill.
The Dutch Oven -
Played last year and put on a clinic in the second game.
Mary - Butch's Wife
If I say something nasty about her I just may go directly to hell.
Obviously, if you do not see your name above and want to come, then drop me a line. I like the idea of at least 2 full tables, so if you want to bring a guest also let me know.

...or To there and back again...or donkey poker...or a week(end) wrap up.
When we last checked in with our hero he was headed to the largest city on earth to make his monthly visit and to call upon past acquaintances.
Acquaintances were met, drinks were consumed, donkey poker was played. All-in-all, a successful venture.
One is reminded time and time again of the tenuous nature of this game of chance one chooses as a hobby. Being enlightened, one can understand how little control one has over the turn of a card. Indeed, one can be virtually guaranteed to be aghast at decisions other players can make and be disheartened.
It rails against all knowledge of 'correct' and 'proper' etiquette a seasoned player observes when the uninitiated prevails over time honored 'truths'.
In these rare instances it is not in the best interest of the initiated to coach, direct or deride the mistake, but to learn and add to one's understanding in order to adjust future actions and reactions.
aaaanyway.....
I hope all the Vegas-bound bloggers enjoyed themselves this weekend. I further hope your brains and pocketbooks have remained in-tact.
I fixed a nice dinner for the wife on Saturday and enjoyed a peaceful kid-less meal with my beloved. It was truly the highlight of my weekend.
We went to 2 holiday parties this weekend, (whoo hooo)I drank until my equilibrium was diminished, then drank a little bit more.
What is old was new again and what was new is now old, the cycle turns and turns and turns...
I'll work on the APBTII roll-call tonight, it's shaping up to be a nice little tourney.

Weekend Wrap Up and ghey bloggers football
Hello Kids, the below post was a dedication to myself for Friday. I was and played like a drunken lemur, fun was had.
I made it over to Brain's neighborhood on Saturday to play in his neighborhood game. I was tired, and unfocused and got a last minute invite to a cash game in my hood..... Excuses excuses.
I didn't play too badly. I got flushed by a shortstack when I flopped presto, then over committed with QJs on a board with Q98 one spade. Brain took me down with KK.
I didn't necessarily want to wait for the cash game, so I high-tailed it back up north to my buddy Matts house. They weren't playing poker, they were playing beer-pong.
I had a great time watching the end of the football games and playing some pong. After awhile we walked over to Alan's and attempted to play some cards, but everyone was too drunk. They eventually just shipped their chips to me in fear...lol
I lazed around Sunday and watched the pros go at it, more fun was had..all in all a pretty low key weekend.
In Chad's blogger fantasy league I racked up the most points I have all season and I will need them heading into tonight's game. Don has Moss and NE's defense going tonight and he is about 50 points behind me. Normally I'd be happy, but you just never know with Moss and the horrible Raven's offense. Wish me luck.

Comings and goings.
All you traveling bloggers must be giddy with anticipation, this time next week the MGM bar will be up to its neck in drunken donkeys. Drink one for me why don't you...just don't die.
I envy each and every one of you who are going, I better be getting a phone call in the hideously early morning pissing off my wife. You know who you are.
I'm heading up to NYC on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll bump into F-train and others before their trek out west.
APBTII is coming in 2 weeks + one day!!!!
I have an all-star cast of confirmed players, I'll be posting a lineup like the one I did last year since it was so much fun.
You take care this weekend and wish me luck on Fantasy Football, I need to beat the Top Team in the league to guarantee a playoff spot.

One day I'll catch a break....flopped straights suck.
End of the first level in the bodonkey, I'm in the big blind with KTo.
smokkee makes a 3x Bet in MP.
I call to see a flop, putting him in a range of speculative cards.
Flop is a beauty, 9 Q J rainbow.
smokk bets $150, and I double to see how much he likes it, he pushes with JJ obv.
I call and Q hits the river.... yay me.
All of my tounaments have been going like this for so long it doesn't even phase me anymore. It's bound to turn around sometime.

Who's the turkey at the table?? Weekend Wrap-up
The mega-weekend started on Wednesday as I headed out to a neighborhood buddies house for a 'friendly' game of HORSE rotations. This is at least how it was explained to me.
What I experienced was more akin to dick slinging competitions. No worries for me. I was underfunded, but I knew how to beat this game. This is what my neighborhood game devolves to on the way to utter fonkeyness.
I should have known, yes. JewFro (no he's not Jewish and I'm not anti-Semite, he has a JewFro, get over it.) and his brother BigBalls don't have the slightest idea how to run a friendly game. Their idea of friendly is letting you keep your car, but not the title.
Sooo, as I pull up and LF is in the driveway trying to figure out how to lock his car while putting a dip in, talking on his phone, carrying a 12 pack while stumbling drunk at the same time.
I licketh my chops already.
LF goes on to tell me how lucky he is, despite being in a fight with his wife, he just got himself out of a DUI and figured poker is in order. genius
We sat down and shoot the shit for awhile, waiting for more players. LF described his awesome luck in more detail. Finally, we get 2 more neighborhood regulars, Swift and the Dutch Oven. JewFro began to dole out chips...
LF buys in for 300, JF for 200, BB for 200, and the Dutch oven and I exchange looks.
"So much for friendly", says Dutch and I agree with 100 a piece in front of us. JF started to recant, but I say, no worries, its limit, right.....well, sorta.
Now a smart poker player can excuse himself from a game he doesn't belong. A donkey who wants to play regardless ignores such possibilities and decides he can outplay the rest of the table.
We began to play 1/2 limit HORSE with $5max after the turn. After describing RAZZ for the fifth time, the game turns into HO.... which is fine by me.
Dutch busts on the second orbit of OH/8 and leaves in somewhat of a huff. I completely understand his problem, since the table is loose as hell and he didn't want (couldn't) put more money at risk.
I was playing frogs ass tight and had scooped a pretty nice OH8 pot, and bluffed a hold'em pot to get roughly 3x my starting stack.
3 more players I've never played with before showed up and we began playing Pot-limit hold'em and OH/8 dealer's choice.
Long story I get stacked in OH8 when my nut flush gets boated on the river. JF stakes me another 200 and I have to go back to building mode. Meanwhile LF has played nearly every pot dealt and had been raising like a maniac. He LF'ed into a huge stack, and I knew I could get my chips back from him.
By the end of the night I had 700 in front of me and LF was into JF for a grand. Crazy fucker I tell you.
Of course the house can't pay me at the end of the night as LF has mortgaged the game. I'm cool about it though as I know they are good for it and settle for half of my profit for the time being. I looked at my phone and realized we had played till 5Am..ugh.
I got myself a snack and went home. The wife was sweet enough to let me sleep till about 10AM. (little did I know that she had stayed up till 4am with her sister)
I managed to make it through 2 T-Day dinners with my wits intact .
I got a little bit of cards in on Bodog over the weekend. I started playing $25 max tables, which ain't so smart when you have a $100 to play poker with. I got stacked twice in short succession (KK vs AA) (AK vs QQ - AKQflop)
So I moved down to the $10 max tables and built it back up to 75 in a few short sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I've REALLY had to adjust my play at Bodog, which I think is good overall, these tables are sooo juicy so far.
Saturday morning we drove up to Watkinsville to visit my uncle who is a very talented potter. He has a yearly show that we always make it to. Usually my sister and brother are there with their kids. So it another chance of all of us to get together. Since my brother moved to Phoenix though, he was absent.
Saturday afternoon was a great day football wise as my 2 bets on GA and Kentucky came through. My sister and the rest of her crew came over to play and watch the games.
I also won my week of my college football pick'em league with 14/20 against the number. This ties me with the wins leader (3) and puts me 2 points behind in the season standings.
Sunday was a fine day of relaxing mixed with cleaning. I celebrated by grilling a couple bone in rib-eye. The quality wasnt the greatest, so I dry rubbed them with a bit of red pepper, cayenne and sea salt. Turned out not so bad, I'm gonna turn the left overs into some kick ass fajitas, I tell you what.
Eventually, I will get back on FT for the end of the BBT2 and see if my lottery numbers hit, but for now I'm enjoying a bit of a break.
I hope you all had a safe and relaxing break, see you around.

I'm thankful for poker.
I'm thankful for the humility that online poker has given me. I have the utmost respect for those of you who profit online. It is a disciplined and multi-faceted endeavor. I'll be taking a vacation from FT for awhile, at least till the end of the year.
I should have known better to use my last token on the donkfest that was last night's MATH. I unregistered form the 28K for that crap? Only when it started did I realize not only was it 6max but turbo..so is Turbo no limit Razz next?? no thanks. GG ME.

I'm thankful for poker.
I'm thankful for the humility that online poker has given me. I have the utmost respect for those of you who profit online. It is a disciplined and multi-faceted endeavor. I'll be taking a vacation from FT for awhile, at least till the end of the year.

APBT II
Allright boys and girls, it's that time again, I've put it off too long and the year is almost over.
Everyone within eyeshot and earshot is invited to the second annual Atlanta Poker Blogger's Tour at palatial skidoo estates. I know Brain, Kajagugu, and Daniel have regular games, but last summer I gathered together the first and largest gathering of Atlanta poker bloggers that I am aware of. Next year I swear I'll give more notice for everyone in ATL and nearby to make this an event those of us in the southeast won't want to miss.
I did want to put together something before the end of the year though, so I can honestly claim this to be an annual event.
Saturday December 15th is the day. I'll be sending out an Evite to everyone I think who might be interested. If you don't get an invite, then I don't have your email or I don't think you'd be interested. If you fall into those 2 categories and might show up then drop me a line here with your email or you can email me at 23skidoo at gmail and I'll send you the info.
Have a good week and hopefully I can donate some chips to you in one of the BBT2 games next week.

Clearly I'm not qualified for this.
I'm such a fish. How stupid of me to assume someone holding a monster like 45h would fold to a measly 4x bet. My bad.
How completely retarded of me to expect someone to fold a flopped flush with such a hand, its infallible! I truly don't understand this game, lest I forget that I must play 2 easily dominated cards such 45h should call any bet in the 4x to 8x range. Duh. I guess I'll never learn.
Yes I continue to lose to mouthbreathers and yokels, you see my stats, you've played against me, I'm an aggro fish passive calling station on MASSIVE tilt, of course you will hit your 2-4 outer on me, it's written in the stars, enjoy my money you fucking toolboxes. You need it more than I do.
I feel better now, move along.

Movers and Shakers
Craig is the latest (and last) casualty at Pokerworks. Update his links to HERE, and wish him luck in his continued quest.
I did get a few responses from my last post, and I will most likely schedule a gathering at my house on one of those dates. I'm still in negotiations with the wife to see which weekend works, so I'll have that info soon. I'll send one of those ghey Evites you guys are so fond of.
So please, if you even think you might be interested, send me an email ( 23skidoo at gmail.com) so you are on the distribution list.

Mr. Skidoo's Donkahood
Hey folks!!
I had a great weekend aren't you PUMPED!!!!!!!?!?!
OK, I know you aren't but I need to fill this page with something other than my whining and complaining.
Friday Night was Monthly Poker in my Hood and I had 2 confirmed bloggers showing, which turned into 1 present blogger and one who went from confirmed to infirmed. Bad beat, I hope Butch is feeling better.
So we we gathered around 8:30 and I began setting up The Tournament Director when I somehow erased all of my tournament settings...doh. I had to redo the whole thing, at least I kept my player database.
We started the first tourney around 8:30 with 13 players. We decided to allow rebuys for the first hour to juice the pot a bit. Eventually 5 rebought, but near the end of the rebuy period, the blinds were a little big. I messed up the blind escalation. It still ran pretty well as I extended the levels to 20 minutes.
Here's one early hand of note.
3nd level I have been tight, biding my time waiting to double up or rebuy.
I get KJc in the SB. This is the first hand I've really considered playing. There is one limper in front of me and a raiser (~3bb) in CO. I call and the limper folds. We see a flop with 2 hearts and a Jack. I'm fairly certain I'm ahead here, I know my opponent overvalues high cards and draws from playing him frequently. He goes all in and I make a Hellmuthian instacall.
He shows 44 and I double.
I got to open up a bit after that and went into the money as the chip leader. The blinds got astronomical after a bit and I had the worst succession of cards the whole night, I had to push with 94o eventually and busted in 3rd. Congrats to Surf for taking second.
The second tourney ended up with 9 players@$40 per. I had a really interesting hand that set me up for the whole tournament.
Blinds are 50/75 (yeah I need to redo my blind structures, sue me) and I get KQo in late position. There are 4 limpers in front of me and I decide to make a semi-bluff at the pot.
I say aloud "oh no no no no we cant have that", and bump it up to 300. I get 3 callers... DOH
Flop comes out 789 2spades. I really hate this flop! I decide to keep up the ruse and bet 400. 3 fucking callers again. I may have to be done with this hand.
7 diamonds comes up next, and I actually like this much better, it doesn't improve any draws and theres no way I can put anyone on a boat. This is confirmed by the fact that it checks around to me again, and I decide to check.
I'm really trying to sell pocket pairs for the river, but am prepared to fold to any big bet. The river comes off with a very raggy 4h. And it checks around to LF.
I've played cards with LF for the better part of 4 years. He is an action junkie and is allergic to money. Dude just gives it away. Every now and then LF catches a miracle though and earns the luckyfucker moniker. I call him LF for brevity's sake.
LF bets 300 into the ~2000 pot. I push, everyone folds to him and he folds the missed nut flush face up. I show the bluff and get groans form the whole table. I'm called a whole lot after that and run the table over, cruising in to the win.
So $200 Profit minus beer and I'm still home early enough to get a good night's sleep WOOT.
Give me live cards over online coinflips and lottery tickets any day.
Speaking of...say you live in the Atlanta area and like to play cards and possibly blog about it from time to time. Might you be interested in a ATL blogger gathering at casa de Skidoo December 15th? Perhaps the 22nd?? If I get enough positive response (10+) I will light that candle. Let me know if its a possibility via email or a comment. I'll decide yes or no by 11/26. STAY TUNED

Who does this guy think he is???
BAH! What does he know?
HM?
I'd like to come up with something clever to say about it, but it speaks for itself.
Truf is da truf.

Misc. Stuff
Hi Kids!
I'm starting to emerge from a major funk brought on by MASSIVE work tilt, poor sleeping, eating and drinking habits, oral surgery, and ongoing back problems. Not to mention I still stink at poker and continue to bleed money.
I'm hoping things are beginning to look up though. I'm beginning to catch up on some personal business, and trying to make sure my wife and kids remember who I am, and that I can still be a pretty good guy when I can get out of my own head.
So, I've been wallowing in the low limit zone as my online bankroll has dipped below a hundy, and I have vowed not to reload maybe ever..I dunno.
Who am I kidding? I'm way to weak to stop playing online. I'm still living under the misconception that I can 'beat' the game online.
Anyway, this is supposed to be a hopeful and cheerful post.
I forgot to change Maudie's link in Google reader and have missed her posts since she left Pokerworks. If you have too, then check the link to the right or this:
http://www.pokerperspectives.com/
Short story on my back. About 2 years ago I started having serious issues with my back from the mid part of my neck on the right side to the middle of my back.
Sometimes it was just a nagging dull pull (like now) and sometimes it was a full fledged back spasm completely locking me up (like last week).
I went through a couple doctors, physical therapy, and a chiropractor. Finally, the Orthapaedic Surgeon and the MRI machine.
The last two broke the news, I have a herniated disk at the base of my neck causing undue stress and inflammation. The inflammation pushes my spinal cord and causes my muscles to seize up.
Mr Orthapaed's first track was prednizone, a round of steroids to control inflammation. That worked for a bit, but I was still hurt. So we moved on to cortizone. I had 3 spinal taps to reduce the inflammation in my neck and I was good for a little over a year.
Last week, I fell asleep on the plane home from NY and woke up a bit stiff. I didn't really acknowledge it and commenced my normal duties.
Thursday night I took my son to basketball evaluations and shot a little bit with him afterwards. He wanted me to show him my massive dunking skillz on the 9' goal and I couldn't resist.
I jumped up to get his alley-oop and OOOOP it did. I came down and grimaced in pain. I knew Master P didn't notice, so I played it off as it was time to leave, and walked as normally as I could out of the rec center.
I gingerly folded myself into the car, and finally P said, "are you all right Dad?"
I said sure, and we drove home.
It took about 10 minutes to get myself out of the car and into the house. I immediately made my way to the medicine cabinet. I took 800 MG of ibuprofen and a hydrocodone tab.
Rach found me in the kitchen and saw the look on my face, noticed my back contorted and knew the drill.
I knew there was no use hoping for the ibuprofen to help, so I went to the Orthopaed the next day and requested another round of steroids. Not that I like taking steroids, but I do like walking and moving.
Once again, the Doc suggested an MRI and surgery, but I denied, hoping that the prednisone does its' job.
Possibly one of you is a Doctor and can suggest the surgery, but we're talking about cutting into my neck and replacing a disk at the largest concentration of nerves in my body. 6-8 months of recuperation and the possibility of more surgery or complications stemming.
For now, I'll pass, but I may have to face it someday.
So, probably more info than you wanted, but what the hell. I should be able to make the mook tonight. See you later.

BAH! What does he know?
